Hello and Goodbye Friendly Fairhope, Alabama– Sweet Memories

Fairhope is one friendly place, y’all! Had a great signing at Page & Palette. Hate that I didn’t get a pic with Douglas, Manager Extraordinaire, as he did a great job all evening. And huge thanks also for to Liz at Penguin Publicity for hooking me up on Fairhope “First Friday”– which is like one big street party with music, food, shopping, and tons of atmosphere! I had a blast people watching and visiting.

Here are a few quick shots of some sweet new readers/friends!

After the signing I wandered around a bit enjoying the local flavor…

Of course, being the charitable person I am, I HAD TO purchase ice cream from these sweet girls at this little shop…

after I saw their sign:

It was the right thing to do, after all.

Oh, and as I was going back to my room, I met and bonded with The Dixie Dairy Queens. The picture speaks for itself. (Y’all were a hit with me, girls!)

Next stop is Santa Rosa, Florida and Sun Dog Books! Hope to see y’all on the road. Later, gators!

Hugs,
Shellie

P.S. Vicki– if you’re reading this, our pic came out all blurry. 😦 And if ANYONE knows why my text sometimes refuses to post on top of the pictures and runs down the side of the page, I’m all ears…Just sayin~

    Shellie,

What fun to meet you in Fairhope last Friday – thank you very much for the time you spent with me and I’m lovin’ the books! Going to back to Page & Palette to buy one each for my “Southern Mama”. I saw your comment about our picture coming out “all blurry” – no worries – the memory of meeting you, your beauty within & without remains.

All the best & I hope to see you in Fairhope again soon.

Vicki (the “Southern Belle Delta Princess” – my nickname @ work – “Alabama Yankee’s” above Montgomery, AL, assigned this moniker to me as they say I’m “prissy” in a good way. No offense by “Alabama Yankees” – my friends in Birmingham, AL gave themselves this unofficial title).
